For the top sample, I was going for a festive, holiday feel, so I decided to increase the opacity of the vertical stripes and lighten only the horizontal ones to 50%. Probably not a classic gingham look, but I like the extra vibrance as I want to use it for Christmas journal pages and embellishments. I love using ginghams and am so thrilled to have this great new skill!
