Sharing space with my musician/model airplane building husband has its challenges.  He got the spare bedroom and I took a corner of the den.  However, I found that the folding table I was using kept getting too cluttered so I packed everything up in a somewhat organized manner.  Now I just get out what I need and work at the breakfast table.  It makes for a much less cluttered space and easier clean up.
