Music puzzle

This game concept is for apps.

The main goal is to become a superstar by collecting songs and playing those in diffrent bars.

This game is a combination of puzzle and reaction games:

- Collecting songs by solving puzzles, like a quiz or/and finding all hints in a bar.

- Playing the songs by taping on the screen to the rythm of the game:

For every show, you need specific songs. By colleting and performing them, your popularity will increase and you can collect more songs, enter more bars and a higher level of differculty.

 

Ananlyzing the game:

1) Objective:

Goal of the game is to collect as much song as you can to use them to become a superstar.

Sturcture of game:

- Asking owner of the bar to take part of the show

- Song quest starts -> looking for the hints and/or solve the quiz -> new song

- If all needed song available -> show: playing songs -> popularity increases -> new content and quests available

 

2) Ease of Start:

Every quest starts in a bar. There you have to talk to the owner to start quests. The song hints are hidden in the bar, which the player can look for after starting the quest. The song quiz is asked by the owner. After collecting all songs, you can start the show at talking to the owner.

 

3) Progression:

- new bars

- money to buy hints and clothes for the character

- popularity increases

- improving the reaction of the player

 

4) Solvability:

The questions should be as easy as a non professional can answer them. Also the hints in the bar can help to solve the questions. One member of the band will join you on the quests to help if you need a hint.

The speed of the songs is related to the song, but the combinations of the tones become more difficult by increasing the level. Every song will be played in it´s full version, no ending by making mistakes -> less frustration

All songs can be played again to have fun again or to achieve a better highscore.

 

5) Puzzle Flow:

At the beginning, the player will have questions to answer and/or hints to find. Also the songs will be easy to play. By leveling up, the level of difficulty will increase too.

By playing the songs, the player impove her/his/its skills at reacting fast.

 

6) Parallel Tasks:

It´s possible to start more quests and try to solve them at the same time.

Also the choice of the instrument for the show can bring fun to the player and gives the oppurtunity to play diffrent parts of the song. 

 

7) Puzzle Hierarchy:

Playing song at the show <- Song quests (Hint/Quiz) successful

 

8) Hints:

If the player doesn´t know the answer of the quiz or can´t find the needed hin, you can ask for help by buying a drink for your band members. This person will give you an advice to solve it.

 

9) Rewards:

Goal: level up your popularity by popularity points

 

Playing the song:

- Highscore and ranking to show player´s progession

- Based on the ranking, you receive popularity points and money

- But: play the same song too much -> just a few popularity points and money

 

Song quests:

- You receive a bit money

- If successuful: new song available

 

Popularity leveled up:

- new bars

- more quests

 

Extrapoint "Expression":

Player can change the design of it´s character by buying clothes, hairstyls and accessory from the store. You pay with your received money from the quests and shows.
