Somehow this looks better in my book than in the photo but  it was a nice project. In general I think I have a grasp of the theory of gouache but still developing the skills, especially often having paint that is too thin or too gloppy.  I decided my river was in spring thaw, with floast of ice and snow and dark spans of water.
