I followed the lessons step by step with a few modifications.  The jeans I used had a tear in the inseam and the bottom hems were ripped.   I wanted it a bit wider, so I sewed both legs together for the main part of the apron and cut away a portion at the top so it would wrap around better.  I used the waistband as the neck straps since I had no thick inseam.  Even though it is thick, it is really comfortable.  The button portion of the waistband I used as a fastener for the neck strap in case I didn't want to pull it over my head.  After tearing off the back pockets I decided they were too shallow, so I sewed them back on and cut out the two back sections. Now I have two double pocket.  I have limited experience sewing and this was fun and easy, even with the few changes I made.  With the modifications, I ended up using most of the material from these  jeans (less for front zipper area).  Thank you for this wonderful idea.  I had these jeans set aside to re-use one day, but no idea what to do with them.  I can't wait to get this thing dirty!
