I have been wanting to dabble in surface pattern design for a long time and am so glad to be making time for it now. For my pattern set, I decided to go with imperfect drawings of leaves, inspired by mid century modern.

My mood board features a nice mid century palette, fun overlapping shapes with color overlays, and imperfect block print-inspired textures. I brought these assets into my hero pattern as well as the blender and secondary patterns. I'm happy with how playful and retro the final patterns are.
