This is a great class to get started with abstract painting, but also to get over that feeling of not knowing where to start after a long break, as was my case. I have been so busy over the last three month to create my new Skillshare class Collage Cards For Fun: Three Designs to Play With Composition that I didn't have time for my own art practice. And one of the things that where on my treat-myself-list was to paint again.

I do love mark making and I also teach a class on mark making with everyday objects Unlock Your Creativity: Mark Making with Everyday Objects where I use sponges and objects to stamp, but I had not used my palette knife for years and I really enjoyed using that to spread paint and also to scrape it off. Also the combination of all the different tools and techniques really has been a lot of fun!
