I have made a number of batches of macarons since being bitten by the baking bug. Here are a few images of my favorites:
My first batch was a plain almond shell (with sky blue gel coloring) and a chocolate buttercream (pictured above). These were slightly undercooked and had hollow shells.
My next batch was better. I made red velvet macarons with cream cheese buttercream filling:
