I had ordered a new sketchbook from Strathmore and says for W/c heavyweight but not cotton. Seemed to work OK. Tried from memory again.  I did let first layer dry before darker tulips. I had leftover orange so was good try. I took photo again as it looked so textured but I guess that is the nature of this paper.
