I took this course about a year ago and I cannot say enough great things about James and his teaching style. The way he layered in music theory in the beginning without having to take a whole separate weeks-long course on that (which you should do later) -- was incredible and had me at least up to speed and trying some basic mixes almost right away. 

 

This link below is to a live set I recorded at a super vibey cocktail lounge here where I live in Charlotte, NC. I've started to get some gigs now so it's been a fun challenge mixing live on the spot and reading the room to curate the mix. Each spot I've played so far has presented a unique and different challenge too, so I'm still learning so much on the fly.
