Fitting the season, I painted this little hedgehog. Applying the masking fluid was tricky and I had to remove the first round of this, but then I think I managed. With every painting I fall more in love with these mineral colours. I am working on Hahnemuehle "Cornwall" paper which I find ideal for these paintings. No need for stretching at all! The paper stays solid flat no matter what you do- even outside of a gummed pad. and the colour comes right off when you want to lift something. A real alternative when you live outside of Britain.
