I paired a beef stew with a pu’erh tea. I thought this pairing was very interesting. The strong earthy flavors within the tea with the saltiness and all vegetables in the stew went very well together. I after my pairing however I feel a black or oolong would have been a better match. While the pu’erh was very good I think a slightly more subtle earthy flavor would have matched the beef stew much better.
