Landscape experiment

I'm on a quest this month to try to use some of the art supplies that I often neglect, and oil pastels are pretty high on that list. I'm not usually a big fan of mediums that make a big mess, and I don't love that they don't ever really dry down, but I do enjoy the experience and feel of using oil pastels, and this was a really nice way to make use of them. I did a bunch of expermiments in a sketchbook (I just put tracing paper or deli paper in between the pages where I use them and don't usually have issues, but my sketchbooks are not especially precious so I also don't worry much about them). The oil pastels I have are super cheap and fall into the categories of way too soft and a bit too hard, so they aren't always easy to blend well, but that wasn't really a big issue for me here. This was fun, and I like that this method is very quick but very satisfying!
