I've missed you Helen! I was thinking just the other day that you hadn't posted any new Illustrator classes so I went and found one that looked interesting to me. I just completed  Pattern in Pattern & Irregular Repeating Patterns yesterday. This new class is a great complementary class to that one. 

 

In this repeating pattern I included the colored background in the pattern itself. I usually leave it out of the pattern and just have a colored rectangle color my artboard. 

 

The pattern below was created using the techniques explained in Pattern in Pattern & Irregular Repeating Patterns after watching Helen create the random seed pattern.
