I wanted to do something creative and either make something new or transform something. 

After completing the interest tree I became interested in starting an up-cycling project. I had moved to a new build house and furniture I had for the bedroom didn't really match the style and age of the house and I wanted to change the colour scheme in the bedroom to grey. The furniture had been painted with a blue top so wouldn't match, and the legs and trim on the furniture were not right. I decided I wanted clean lines and to change the legs on the furniture, which was not straight forward, as the legs and bottom plinth were all one piece. Once I managed to remove this I decided to use metal hairpin legs for a more modern feel and to really change the look of the piece. 

I saw a second-hand stool with the same hairpin legs so decided to sand this down and paint it to match the drawers.

I couldn't find any alternative drawer handles that I liked so decided to paint the existing ones black, to match the legs. Having searched online for many hours for different handles I have since had the idea of making my own bespoke handles using resin. this has sparked my motivation to start another project, thanks to this skillshare class.
