Inky abstracts

This class was a great way to have fun and warm up to my new daily arting schedule! Yay!!

I used Winsor & Newton inks, Finetec metallic watercolors, basic brandless (and probably cottonless) watercolor paper for the blue-pink abstract, Arches for the blue-red and Pebeo masking fluid.

I shook my masking fluid, but for the first time, I had a reason for it. It was starting to clump. I ended up with foamy fluid and had the marvelous idea of testing if I could get a nice texture if applied like that. Sadly it didn't :( but now I really want to create a honeycomb pattern with masking fluid bubbles). The ink flows and magic happens~

After experimenting with my first abstract, I decided to give it a try on Arches paper, 100% cotton. I applied what I learned from my first experiments (what i liked and what I wanted to change) and I am veeery happy with the result!
