Hey there,

 

I made a map of the state in Germany where I live, Thuringia. The landmarks and icons are places which I think of when I think about Thuringia.

 

At first, I made the sketch where I placed the icons:

Then came the fun part, the inking. I sadly haven't found all the cool tools Tom mentioned in the class, but I got some workarounds, mainly with brushes. So here are my textures and marks:

Finally, I learned some new moves in Procreate and followed the steps to finish the map in three colors. Here you go:

I added the sausage since there was too much space on the bottom right and it gives a nice frame for the compass rose. Also, the sausage is like the national dish of Thuringia.
