Inky Landscapes: Letting Go… at a Snail’s Pace 🐌

I know, I’m absolutely incapable of losing myself, so my inky landscapes are quite overdone… oops!

These exercises are my second or third attempts. At some point, I think I managed to trust the ink, the paper, the pen, and myself, and get something a bit more loose-ish — but I definitely need to keep trying.

In any case, I’ve learned a bunch in this class, and I’ve loved every step of the process, especially working again with my old fountain pen 😄

Thanks a bunch!

I started with the 1-minute landscapes… the horror of those first attempts is honestly indescribable, so let’s not dwell on them.

I kept going with the next exercises, which gave me more time to play with details and call a truce with my bloody OCD-driven perfectionism 🤦‍♀️.

My first attempt at the Summer Landscape was… well, this 👆.

So I tried again — and I’m definitely happier with the second one 👇

Still overdone, but I'm more content indeed.

Then I played with the imadclicks' image. 👆

Once again, pretty overdone… but hey, maybe I’m not a completely lost cause 😅

After that, I decided to try the 1-minute landscapes again, focusing on letting go and avoiding self-criticism — and I’m quite comfortable with how it turned out.👇

I don’t know if this technique will become one of my go-to ones, but I’ll definitely keep exploring it 😉
