Ink Drawing Boot Camp

Ink Drawing Boot Camp - student project

Having taken Jen's ink hatching class a while ago I had been meaning to do this one for ages and have been dipping in and out of it for the past couple of weeks. I've ended up with loads of material so here are some of my favourites.

I have sketched in biro for a long time (it stops me from worrying about mistakes) and I love using mapping nibs, but I really enjoyed using this opportunity to further explore the other pens that I have hanging around and neglect most of the time. I also don't have any brush pens or bamboo pens and really want to give them a go now!

I was keen to apply my practice to some more complex ideas. This reference is from a collection of Rudyard Kipling's stories.

And here are a couple of my own drawings.

Thanks Jen for another great class. Im looking forward to putting my new skills into practice!!
