Just gorgeous.  Love the background and especially the pink outline on the beautiful flowers.  I got some poscas to try that with but I keep forgetting to use them when I do flowers.  Great job.  Love it.

Thank you so much, Kandi! Although my watercolor instructor at the community college would likely say that outline has no place in watercolor painting, I disagree, so when I’m not in her class, I do it my way!

She obviously has no imagination and is OLD SCHOOL. She needs to open up her mind to modern art.  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder as the saying goes, and art is art.  Ohn Mar Win does the same thing and teaches it.  She is a very successful and brilliant watercolor artist too.  I LOVE what you do.  Keep it up and I'm going to give it a try sometime too.  It works.  You pick and choose what you learn from different teachers and make your OWN style, right???  You never want to be a carbon copy of someone else, for sure.  You rock, woman.  So does Neesha.  I also learn so much from Peggy Dean as well.  I love taking her classes too.  This is a wonderful family we have here on Skillshare.

Thanks for the encouraging words! To be fair, my watercolor instructor has an amazing portfolio and I’ve learned a lot about technique from her. Her philosophy is basically “learn technique first, then take it in your own direction.” I’ve only been on Skillshare since February, and I do agree that there are so many amazing, creative people to learn from here on Skillshare!
