I like your use of depth of field, is it all done in camera or is some of it done post processing?

Thank you! It's all done during the shooting process. 

What lens is the engagement set done with? It has really good bokeh.

Love the foreground play! Really cool images.

The portraits of the blonde walking on the street are really beautiful.

I think that some of these images are really well done, I like the use of the foreground elements as framing devices for the subjects behind as well... You get a sense of the moment in many of them. 

I see that there are many images that rely on depth of field shifts. I'm just wondering whether this is on purpose, and what you were going for in the images with this shift of attention through focus off the subject and on the path? I think that some could work with an understanding of the story, but others feel like thy have simply fallen out of focus. I would love to hear some thoughts from you about depth of field.

Thanks for the feedback Jonathan, it means a lot.

As far as the depth of field shifts your bringing up, it is something I like, and use frequently to stylize my photos. I'm assuming the ones you are mainly focusing on are the photos of the girl in the orchard, and the boy in the forest. I intentionally attempted that effect for the girl shot for exactly what you said, which was to show the path ahead. The boy shot was unintentional but I just liked the looks of it it, although I can see what you mean by losing it's sense of story from it.

Do you think these extreme depths of field are something I should continue on with in my photos, or should I find a knew way to stylize my photos?

   You seem to have actually taken your own pictures, which I like, by the way, so maybe you can help me.  I'm new to skillshare and am trying to find the video we were supposed to see this evening.  I haven't found it.  I missed the live class Tuesday, so maybe I'm missing some important information. hey Andrew, i think its not about how you style your image, its what you want to achieve with the depth of field. it is a great "style", but i believe there should be a great reason for it. 

anyway, i think if you really want to go for "depth of field" you should use 8x10 cameras, or even go larger. that is where you`ll get full control of it. there are a lot of cheap ones for a start, i think you should try it out!
