ACT I: THE SETUP
- Essential Story Point #1: The Hook
- Beau is a hardworking mechanic, living on the outskirts of town with his sister, has prosthetic leg he lost from childhood, a loner who still loves his family, he distrusts others and dreams to finish the car he made. He needs to break out of his shell and learn to trust others. He desires to save and protect his family at all cost. If his sister died, he would never forgive himself and would live alone forever. Only through bringing down those barriers he has set around him can he overcome the task at hand. If he manages to fix his latest customers car, he will receive the last part he needs to build his car.
- Essential Story Point #2: Upsetting the Status Quo
- Sister gets sick and needs medicine to survive.
- Essential Story Point #3: Doorway of No Return
- Asks for help but receives none, then he is told that there is a race on where he could win money to save her.
ACT II: RISING CONFLICT
- Essential Story Point #4: The Initial Plan
- Tries to get to race alone, but needs help in unfamiliar territory. Harper, a rich racer helps him.
- Essential Story Point #5: Midpoint & Mirror Moment
- Beau begins to form a relationship with Harper and the guy whose car he fixed. As the race escalates people begin to die, and Harper and Beau go on a date.
- Essential Story Point #6: All Hope Is Lost
- The guy whose car he fixed is murdered, Harpers car is destroyed in crash and Beau’s leg malfunctions.
ACT III: CLIMAX & RESOLUTION
- Essential Story Point #7: Transformation
- Beau comes out of his shell and teams up with Harper, she drives while he protects them.
- Essential Story Point #8: Climax & Resolution
- They win the race after avenging their friend, Beau gives sister medicine and he and Harper go on a nice long drive.
