I thought long and hard to what to base my characters on and I choose Greek figures representing followers of various gods. My hero is a follower of Dionysus - young, lanky, and just a tiny bit mad, while my villain in a priestess of Athena - strict and influential, with a hidden agenda.

I wanted to use these two because they share the snake as a symbol - and I wanted to draw a cute snake too :D

I tried to use mostly lean rectangles in the hero, rounded down, to appear friendly but with a potential to be strong.

The villain is a blend of squares and triangles, with sharp edges.
