This is my first handlettering project (at least the first one for which I really follow all the steps).

 

Step 1 : Brainstorming, quick sketches

 

Step 2 : Continuing sketching on the Ipad

At that point I decided to remove the sun & flower ornaments, and also to keep the letters on a straight baseline instead of a wavy one, for better legibility.

Step 3 : Refining the sketch, adding shadows and ornaments
Step 4 : Vectorizing  (and creating a gradient background) in Illustrator & last touches in Photoshop (grainy texture and gradients on the letters)
