Hi Denise, That's a really great little picture, well done you! Isn't it fun! You have really taken note of the tonal values, therefore your drawing has great depth and distance. It's nearly always the darks that make our pictures stand out in a crowd. If the grasses bother you, you could try leaving more uneven spaces between the different clumps. You could also have more shorter grasses in little lines rather than all in bunches. However, the grasses in your picture don't bother me at all. I think the nice thing about landscapes is the fact that they don't have to be too precise. When painting a portrait, if we get the nose an inch too far to the left it looks all wrong. If we get a tree an inch too far to the left, nobody would ever know! Well done, I love your drawing!

Hi Anne,  So happy I found you on YouTube and followed you here.  Thank you for sharing an accessible landscape that I have had so much fun attempting to recreate.  I have always shied away from landscapes.  The most challenging for me are highlights and shadows.  Would love you to give me tips on improving the grasses.  My grasses in the foreground are rather stylized.  Any comments/critiques would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.
