Grace!

Below is the exercise and I followed the rules. The thoughts going through my mind was, does this even make sense? But then I thought who cares. It makes sense to me.
My number was 3 and I picked grace
To me, grace is undeserved gift. It’s a free and pleasant gift that you don’t give back, you don’t pay it back, you don’t return it. It’s yours to keep forever.
Like a handshake. When you first meet someone and they reach out their hand to shake yours. Think about it. You didn’t deserve their respect. You didn’t do anything to earn a handshake. Maybe you feel like you did but at the end of the day, no one owes you anything. Say that you are the CEO, or you a board member or just a very important public figure in your community. Naturally it’s okay to think that people should automatically respect you for the things you do. But what you do may not have affected them. Or maybe they don’t really care what it is you do. Maybe the person who reaches out their hand to you for handshake just has manners and they would do the same for a person who has no status.
Every single thing we have in the world, we don’t deserve it. Why? There is always someone better who probably deserves it more. There is probably someone out there who can do a better job than you can, be a better friend, a better shoulder to lean on, etc. But thank goodness and praise the Lord, we have what we have. We don’t even deserve or earn the right to wake up each day. And we do. It is grace.
