I don't think these were quite what was asked for but I had a lot of fun and since they were born of this class I figured I'd share them. For my botanicals I picked some lemons and then patterned them around the paper. But I enjoyed it so much I made a whole set! I tried to keep the "pattern" and "botanical" theme using various fruits patterned asymmetrically around the paper.

I did each in a different hue. And decided at the last minute to outline them using different materials. Some are ink. others are black watercolor.

My favorite was the Oranges & Blueberries.

My least favorite was the Strawberries.

And if I had to do them again, I'd be most excited about doing the Pickles again.
