I started this work by sitting in our living room and watching my sister play with her toys. She was in her own world, created in her own mind and detached from technology.

After blocking in the basic story and working through composition, I worked on adding detail and creating a foreground, middle ground, background. I realized part of the story was my little sister, but to her, the story was the two characters in her hands. I wanted to bring them to life, as she saw them.

If I were to do this work again, I would use brighter colors. Happy for any additional feedback and comments, always looking to improve! :)
