Foam Stamping with my 5yo
After watching this tutorial I just had to try it out, and I knew there was no way I could make stamps without my daughter joining in! After school we made and tested our first stamps using cardboard, craft foam, rubber bands, double sided tape and Washi tape for the stamp handles.

Testing our stamps:

In the evening I made more foam stamps and experimented with them on my Gel Press. The alphabet stamps are made with some foam I had previously die-cut.
I used acrylic paint on the Gel Press and as well as my foam and rubber band stamps, I used some die cuts and a polka dot patterned roller.
I like how using the stamps on the gel plate removes the colour instead of adding it. I really liked the effect of using the stamps to remove a darker colour from the plate, and then printing over a yellow print, to allow the lighter coloured layer to show through.

My stamps:

Today we stamped a whole lot. My daughter chose our colour palettes. We used Stampin’ Up ink pads. So much fun.

After my first attempts, I decided to stamp my rainbows, fruits and ice creams as separate shapes and combine them digitally. Lining the stamps up is tricky as I am used to clear stamps!

Thanks for a very inspiring class, Lucie!
