Maya: (whisking aggressively) Jordan, taste this. It’s the future. It’s destiny. It’s… a croissant that thinks it’s a muffin.

Jordan: (dodging flying flour) I don’t taste prototypes anymore. Last time my tongue went numb.

Maya: That was one time. And technically the smoke was “intentional.”

Jordan: The fire department disagreed.

Maya: Details. Anyway, once we open our café, people will line up around the block.

Jordan: They’ll line up because you keep blocking the sidewalk with your “experimental dough expansions.”

Maya: Innovation requires space.

Jordan: Innovation requires a budget. Which we do not have if you keep ordering butter by the crate.

Maya: You can’t put a price on flaky layers.

Jordan: (sighs) Actually, I can. I made a spreadsheet.

Maya: Of course you did. Fine. You handle the money, I’ll handle the magic.

Jordan: Deal. But no more pastries that “hum softly.”

Maya: No promises.
