My Struggle with a Flat Wash Before this Class

I was following a watercolor beginner book and didn't overlap my strokes well. 

First Flat Wash - After Class Videos

Vintage Flat Wash Followed by Modern Flat Wash.  Used very watery orange. 
I liked both even though the vintage one left horizontal stroke marks.

 

Flat Wash Within Shapes 

This one was quite hard. I started prefering Modern flat wash a bit more at this point. Still, need to practice this more. 

1st one - Vintage 
2nd - Modern

Flat Wash Around Shapes

- Vintage Flat Wash ( Both) . 

I someohow forgot to wet the paper for second one and went ahead with Vintage for both.
This was also quite hard. 

Modern Flat Wash

I prefered the modern flat wash for doing around a shape too. Maybe it's because I find the vintage one harder actually for these scenarios.
