I cannot wait to see how you use the techniques in your art journals.  I'd love it if you shared your journals here too, when you can. I had a blast and learned  so much and I can't thank you enough.  I have a set of Dr Ph Martins Hydrus watercolor set here, but I wasn't really happy with my color selection and I used a green from the Hero Arts liquid watercolor line instead, so I went online last night to order some better colors and I order the Radiant instead so I can compare.  You know me and my drawing skills, hahaha, but you made this class so you didn't need any and now I really do feel like I can paint flowers now, so thank you for that!

I have a 2 sheets full of practicing the leaves, oh the leaves, and all the different types of flowers which was great and gave me confidence to do the final project.

I'll be very happy to share anything I do in my art journal.  Thanks again for a fun class and for giving me the confidence to paint florals now :)

Oh Susan! I'm so glad. It thrills me to see you so excited. And, yes, you can paint flowers! The more you try these techniques and practice, the more confident you will feel to explore. I know you can do it. I practice over and over again trying new brushstrokes and color combinations and each time I paint, it gets better and better. 

I think you will really like the radiants. The Hydrus are amazing, and they are very fluid. But, the radiants make my heart sing. The colors are a tad bit more vibrant and just so fun to play with. I look forward to seeing how you like them.

Thanks Lisa, I've heard a lot of people that like that Radiant so I'm really curious to try them.  I also have a palette of Daniel Smith and some other tube watercolors plus all of the Prima Confections and the Jane Davenports so I want try those as well and see what I get.  And you're right I have to keep practicing to improve and I plan to do just that :) . Thanks again and I look forward to your next class, can't wait, Susan

You are so welcome! All of those palettes are amazing and I own them too! My goal is to teaching you how to apply the techniques using any/all of the supplies you have. Each watercolor medium is a bit different from each other, have more pigment, less, etc. but the techniques remain the same. 

You will see me using a lot of the brands you shared above in some of my future classes too!  Daniel Smith and Mission Gold by Mijello are some of my favorite TUBE watercolors. The radiants... though... speak to me everyday! HA! I know... I know... obsessed :) Tee hee!

I have a 48 palette of Daniel Smith with about 5 empty slots, Mission Gold by Mijello, 18 palette of Qor watercolor tubes, and the 30 tube set of Holbein and then some other miscellaneous ones thrown in there.  I want to learn more about watercolors so I'm not just using them on cards anymore.  I want to be able to learn more about mixing which I have no clue about, and be able to maybe be able to start to do some actual painting with someday in the future :)  I know I'll start slowly and work in my art journal first LOL :)   I totally agree they are addicting.  I'm also obsessed with colored pencils hahaha :)

You have all the goodies and I can admit.... I have those brands too! HA! Great minds. So excited to hear this... I'm working on a lot of different tutorials on mixing, too. So good!

Oh that's awesome!!  Can't wait for that class, I never really understood colors and mixing, never made any sense to me :) .

You will soon and eventually it will become intuitive. :)
