I actually restarted on the first flower again, I couldn't even control my impulse to paint a perfect painting! But I took that as a lesson learnt. Giving up on something because it isn't "perfect" enough actually only cements the feeling that one isn't good enough.. because now there is proof: the unfinished/ restarted project. After starting over I told myself, I'm going to push through, see the beauty in the imperfections of my painting.

Thank you for reminding me to breathe. When I periodically had to relax my body, while you told us to, I realised how stiff I was!

 

Thank you for the wonderful lesson. I hope to keep going and painting more loose watercolours that aren't "perfect" or "ugly", but rather, which are just, me.
