Eucalyptus cinerea Print

Eucalyptus cinerea Print - student project

Great class, Fiorenza. Even though I had some experience already creating patterns in Inkscape, I was able to learn a few new things. Very intuitive method applied here.

It's been a long time since I drew something by hand (I prefer digital tools), so I took some inspiration from one of my favorite bullet journal channels over on Youtube (@artandbujos). I took a screenshot from one of her videos and then used the pen tool/bezier tool to draw over it and create the motif for my pattern. I chose similar colors to the drawing and just darkened them a bit.

For my mockup I chose some gift boxes and an envelope, since I'm quite into stationery. I feel like it gives a nice idea of how to apply the pattern created. I was also able to showcase the pattern in different scales for each of the objects (50%, 30% and 10%).

Additionally, I created a sell sheet for the pattern, following another class here on Skillshare, taught by Rebecca Flaherty (highly recommend).

Thanks again for the class, Fiorenza!
