We live in a smaller home with two bedrooms. In the second bedroome, we have a murphy bed for guests so that most of the time we can use the room for art (me) and guitar (my husband). It always feels cluttered and not enough space. He has big stuff with amps and guitars and I have a lot of little stuff with my art supplies. When guests come, we take his guitars and wheel the amps into our bedroom. But most of the time we have trouble sharing this space because of all the stuff. 

The zoning exercse is useful here. We have to leave space along the walls so that we can use the murphy bed,  but I think we could increase storage by making use of vertical space.  One simple solution is to use decorative boxes to store all my little art projects.  The boxes could sit below the window when the bed is up so that I could easlily access them. When guests come, I can throw the projects in the box and put them above the murphy bed. We could also put some kind of shelf above the tv. That would be a great place to display my finished projects. 

Now....to figure out how to use style, shape and color to tie it all in!
