Drinks - student project

I tried this twice, different lighting setups and aesthetics. I am in love with how the morning coffee ones came out, totally Instagram worthy lol I used a low table by the window and adjusted quite a bit as the light moved. I wanted the most direct sun to be on top of the coffee mug, then added the pouring to create a little more movement. I used a tripod and remote shutter, shot with my Nikon d5500, 35mm lens. F/2.5, ISO 100 with shutter speed of 1/500 sec. Drinks - image 1 - student projectDrinks - image 2 - student project

The cocktail one I used a skylight as my light source and was hoping to achieve an outdoor bar feeling. Of the two set ups it was the hardest as clouds kept blocking the sun and I kept having to move my table. It was also the first one that I did. The sunlight was much more direct, as you can see, so I had to move the shadows around quite a bit. I'm not quite as happy with the final product on this one but the drink was good afterwards lol This one I used a 50mm lens, f/3.5, ISO 280, and shutter speed of 1/1000 sec. I did also use the tripod with this shot but not the remote shutter because tbh I couldn't find it lol
