Thank you for the class! It helped me with brainstorming for a story I want to draw. I created some simple sketches to flesh out my character. 

The story is inspired by my friend's(her name is Dora) jumper - it's a gray jumper with a big black heart in the front. I was inspired to create a story about a young woman who frequently was overwhelmed with negative emotions (her black heart growing and overflowing to the world around her) but then discovered art and used blackness of her heart as an ink for her paintings. Because she now used blackness of heart to create art, she no longer reacted negatively to the world around her and it was easier for her to be a better person towards others. Blackness from her heart stays quite small while she is making art. I want the story to show how art can positively change a person.

I know that this story is not a "happy magical" story, but I want to try drawing a story that's a bit darker than my usual. The magic of the character is her discovery and ability to use her heart as an ink for painting.

I want the story to be mainly in the scale of grey, but I decided to add a colorful accessory - a gold bag for her art stuff, symbolizing from the start the positive effect of art. Perhaps the story will gradually progress from a grey world into a world with hints of gold :)
