Dabbling in 3D
Gingham patterns may not be making a comeback for 2019, but it made for an interesting background to the reflective and transparent surfaces.
Inspired by this class, I thought I'd play around with lighting, colours and textures. I like how the glass numbers worked out.
Below is the stage made from a rounded cube. Most of the geometry was removed so the inside of the cube could be used as the background.
Here is the same thing from a different camera angle..
And below is a concrete background. Its a texture from a photo I took of an engineer's factory floor.
The software used is Cheetah 3D. It's Mac only and is relatively inexpensive to buy.
