Quick question, based on your cyanotype lesson of how to swap out one photo for another and do a few minor tweaks, how can I save each version in my project with the new photo without losing the original? If I export as template and reuse the template over and over with new photos, that uses up the history of the document? Is there an efficient way to save the different cyanotypes I create for the same template?

Hi Jackie - Great question! I would recommend exporting each one as a template. You can find the option under the Documents menu at the top.  Exporting a template allows you to save the document with all of it's layers and effects. Each time you open the template, it creates a copy so you don't override the original, so you could pop a new image in there and save it without worrying about losing any prior images. Exporting as a template, doesn't save the history but rather the layers themselves so, if saving the history is important (to be able to go back to a certain snapshot) you will also want to save the original as an afphoto file. That's the only thing templates don't save though. Great, glad to know I was on the right track! Thanks for your prompt response.  I’ve been learner Affinity Designer for a few months and just picked up the rest of the suite and was glad to learn you use designer and photo interchangeably.  I’ll check out your YouTube next. 😊
