Cucayo is a real restaurant in Barranquilla, and they also had a location in Miami. The Miami location didn’t work out, I think, because the branding didn’t effectively communicate their identity. You had to be Colombian to understand what the restaurant was about. To me, the logo looked more like a Mexican-style design—I actually thought it was a taco place until I realized it was Colombian.

I want to do a rebranding for them as a passion project.
