Crafting a Winter Wonderland (in Hawaii!)
Welcome to the class! To get things started, I’ve shared a couple of my own completed snowflakes using this pattern. I used a crisp white cotton yarn to give them that classic wintry look. Except for that one in silver thread that I tried, too!
What I did:
I can’t wait to see your own unique versions! Whether you stick to classic white or try a festive glittery yarn, please upload a photo of your finished snowflakes to the Project Gallery. Feedback: I will be checking in regularly to provide feedback and answer any questions you have about specific stitches or blocking techniques. If you're struggling with a particular round, post a photo and let me know—I'm here to help you succeed! Oh and here's a closer look at that silver snowflake:
- White snowflake: This is one of the snowflakes I made using the exact same yarn and hook used for the demonstration videos. No changes!
- Silver snowflake: I used a smaller weight thread and hook (Aunt Lydia's Metallic Crochet Thread, Size 10, in Silver, with a 1.65 mm crochet hook). That's the only difference!

Isn't it cute!? I love all of my snowflakes so much, especially while we're living in Hawaii! Because there is definitely going to be no white Christmas on O‘ahu!
Cheers!
