Oh my gosh, I love this so much Jen!!That little sand gremlin is fantastic. He's so expressive and dynamic without too much detail. You have created great form with minimal interventions. Well done!! I love his interaction with the crab. Its eyes seem to communicate something like "Oh, hell no!" 😄 Fabulous storytelling. :)

Jerney, you uplift your students with such grace and respect. I think Jen is an awesome artist. I’m goimg to try this class. Limited energy and stuff to process at the moment, but you are an art-enabler par excellence! Best, Judy

Thanks Jerney :)Little dude's proportions were off, but the gesture was great so I left him the way he was.    These neocolor watercolor crayons are awesome :)

I'm so happy you let him be Jen! Proportions are great when you're going for realism, but you sensed right that the gesture was way more important and expressive. :)  I love that you added your second project as well, it's so strong and deeply emotional. And again, so gestural and intuitive. I can see that you went deep and expressed yourself with so much honesty and authenticity. That's what makes a great artist!

Judy, thank you so much for your kind words. It's so important for me to encourage students to go out and make art from the heart so your compliment is truly appreciated. You made me blush. :)  I'm so happy you want to go for the lesson, I know it's challenging when dealing with limited energy so I always light up when you show up and put your soul into it. I know it can feel heavy at times but intuitive art is a great way to process emotions in a way that's not so cerebral. Both ways are important.  Be kind to yourself. Everything at your own pace!

Sorry I'm so long in responding ... been a rough few days. See what happens when you give me journaling projects? All those little inner demons and inner angels emerge and need to be wrangled a bit! lol
