Colourful doors

I have always admired this type of traditional watercolour painting and have always wanted to try it. So when Sukrutha published her class I jumped on the chance. :)

Because I'd recently learned about using salt in layers (see Anna Sokolova's latest class), I wanted to try it out. Since I couldn't get my watercolours to look like Sukrutha's, I just put on salt. And omg, it worked so well on this paper.

Since I had a little space left, I made a companion bookmark on the same colours. :)

OK, so I was happy with the results and the rewetting worked for me, mostly... in the last picture... *erm*:

So... help! I guess? I tried not using a lot of water, but still. I did try to choose a broad, soft brush, but it still picked up too much colour. On the bookmark, I just layered a shadow colour without prewetting and that wasn't an issue. Don't know what to do, now. :/
