Color magic
Scanned version:
Here is my wheel! :D I loooved experimenting with color and watching the magic happens when mixing colors. Something that I'm still puzzled about is, how do I know which colors from my set are warm or cool?. For example, Hanza Lemon is clear to tell that it is cool color but Yellow Medium, when compared with Yellow Deep (which looked more like orange in my opinion) I became hesitant. I can definetely tell that it is warmer than Hanza Lemon but looks colder than Yellow Deep... Same thing with my blues, I can tell that they are different hue, but that is all, hahaha! I used your colors as reference and chose Ultramarine Light as my warm because it is called similar to the one used on the class. Other thing I used as reference was how the colors where organized on the set and assumed that they followed your wheel (It was a Eureka moment! my set starts with white, then yellow lemon, reds, blues, greens, browns and finally black) I feel that there is some logic to how the put the colors there, hahaha!.
Here is another version (I feel it is easier to see the color differences in this one), picture taken with overcast light. My water color set is called Sonnet by Nevskaya-Palitra (not sure if it is the same as White Nights?)
Thank you teacher!
