I decided to explore the different results I can get by layering vs. Mixing the same color pallete- which is the Daniel Smith Watercolor Essentials Set, containing a warm and cool versions of the primary colors.

I layered and mixed each color combination twice, which was also intriguing to explore. 

In the layering chart I find it very interesting to see the difference achieved by the top layer color (I first applied the columnsand then the rows). In the mixing chart I find it interesting to compare the 2 versions of each color and how they were affected by both the amounts of each color and the amount of water applied to the mixture, which were very difficult for me to control. I also liked comparing the charts.
