thanks tara. so with these seed keywords, i just go down the rabbit hole looking for the sweet spot of low competition with high search volume right? my category doesn't have a high search volume as compared to something like "minimalist jewelry" ..so are there other tangential categories you would recommend?  like say "gifts for him" or "mens ponytail holder?" or other ways to get more exposure without using unrelated keywords.

Hmmm since you watched the course and are a little more advanced, these are my thoughts...

So this is a super specific product for a particular type of buyer, male african americans. So even if you got into "mens ponytail holder" your conversion rate (the number of people who see your listing versus the ones that click through and then buy) will be bad because it is not appropriate for those buyers. 

BUT I do think that there are other people who might like to put those kinds of dangles in their hair like people going on cruises to the Caribbean or festival goers, so I would target them first and sprinkle those other high volume ones in sparingly. 

I am going to write a blog post about conversion... do you mind if I use your shop as an example with a link of course?

Would love to know how to expand beyond just &ldquo;dreadlock accessories &ldquo; keywords. I have other styles that can fall under minimalist accessories but brainstorming for seed keyword to put in marmalade or Etsy stumps me.
