I wanted to evoke the happy feeling one feels when seeing cat doing weird things.  My colour inspirations were primarily some Van Gogh paintings and interior designs. I mixed palettes from two different images and added the pink colour as an accent colour to move viewer's focus to the cat's face. 

 

UPDATE!
I made this into a series :D I'm planning to create 8 pieces with colour palletes that are not obvious/easy/natural to me.
As for now I have five more pieces:
