This project complements my course and demos how you can use several copyright free cultural archive images and turn them into an engaging animated gif, simply using the powerful and versatile tools found within Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.

For this animation I searched for and found three pictures on digital archive art collection websites, Japan Search (https://jpsearch.go.jp) and Europeana (https://www.europeana.eu/en). 

Once I'd chosen my three pictures I opened them in Photoshop, where I remixed them together by cutting out and cloning specific parts, cleaning up sections, preparing and finally separating all work done onto individual layers, before then importing the resulting Photoshop PSD file directly into After Affects, where I was able to turn them into a short, funny cat shocker animated gif, with the resulting animation as shown below:
