Thank you Mohini for yet another great class! Portraits are not easy, and a portrait of a statue has a whole other dimension. Great explanations on techniques, I definitely learned about textures! 

I did mine with gouache on white paper, and added black gouache around! And a few more black spots than you did, to compensate that my paper/canvas was not black. Hope I did Buddha's statue justice.
