Brooklyn 4

Brooklyn 4 - student project

Andre, really enjoyed this series. Appreciate your process so much and find myself charged every time I view your work. A friend first introduced me to you late last year (via THIS VIDEO) and I was completely beside myself... not just with your images, but the way you approach people so effortlessly.  It was inspiring to say the least.

I found myself in NYC a few times in the last year and have worked through a lot of the fears that come alongside capturing strangers…and to be honest, I’ve never felt more fulfilled.  Every shot is an opportunity to overcome some kind of fear…and whether that’s returned with a smirk or loud profanities…it’s been a great experience with surprising rewards.

These four images were made on my first trip to BK. It rained for 3 days straight which was a kind gift for trying to meter and zone focus for the first time.  While I feel like I have a long way to go, I’m certainly proud of these images and thankful to be a part of this class.

Cheers!
